An entrée is one of several savoury courses in a Western-style and South American-style formal meal; specifically, a smaller course that precedes the main course. Usage often differs in North America where the disappearance in the early 20th century of a large communal main course such as a roast as a standard part of the meal has led to the term being used by some restaurants and frozen-food manufacturers to describe the main course itself. In that case what would otherwise be called the entrée is called the first course, appetizer or starter.

Steak recipes
Steak is a slice of meat cut perpendicular to the muscle fibres, what improves the tenderness of the meat. Steaks are typically served grilled, though they can be pan-fried. The most tender cuts from the loin and rib are cooked quickly, using dry heat, and served whole. Less tender cuts from the chuck or round are cooked with moist heat or are mechanically tenderized.

Meat dishes recipes
Meat is prepared in many ways, as steaks, in stews, fondue, or as dried meat like beef jerky. It may be ground then formed into patties, loaves, or sausages, or used in loose form.
